Linda Griffin was born and raised in Mississauga Ontario. Linda was exposed to an eclectic upbringing in a multi-cultural city with an avid interest in the arts. During her final years studying Visual Merchandising at Sheridan College she made a decision to travel to The Bahamas for a brief vacation before her exams...that is where she fell in love...in love that is, with the island, the culture and a young fishing Captain by the name of Bob. One week later she returned home to graduate and plan a wedding. 20 years later Linda is still happily married to Captain Bob with whom she has two children and partnering in The Sugar Mill with India Hicks.
India Hicks was born in London, England. Following school India backpacked around the world for a year. She attended a London foundation course in art before moving to Boston to take a degree in photography, graduating with honors.
India enjoyed ten years as a fashion model before making The Bahamas her home and raising four children. India is currently a Creative Partner to Crabtree and Evelyn, with whom she has designed and produced two collections, 'Island Living' and 'Island Night' she has written and published two books 'Island Life' and 'Island Beauty' and last year was the host of Bravo’s hit TV series 'Top Design'.
